Together, they form a complex mechanical system that allows us to stand, walk, run, and engage in a myriad of other movements.
When everything is going smoothly, it's easy to take foot health for granted. However, when something does go wrong. —a blister, a sprain, or even just a twinge of pain—you realize just how essential your feet are to your daily life.
One of the most fascinating aspects of the foot is its joints. These are the points where two or more of the foot bones meet, enabling a remarkable range of motion. Whether you're wiggling your toes, pivoting on your heel, or flexing your arch, it's thanks to these joints that you're able to do so.
And then there are the bones themselves. They're not just there to give your foot structure—they're also responsible for supporting your body weight and absorbing the shock of each step you take.
